2021 Boyd Quaich Tournament Cancelled

Unfortunately, we have taken the decision to cancel this year’s Boyd Quaich. Whilst we appreciate that the pandemic situation is improving, we are very mindful of the local community in St Andrews, the advanced planning that is required and surrounding factors such as travel and accommodation. The Boyd Quaich is built on international competition and overseas competitors, which wouldn’t have been possible this year.

The next Boyd Quaich is scheduled to take place between the 26th – 28th July 2022. This will be less than two weeks after The 150th Open Championship is held on The Old Course at St Andrews. A Boyd Quaich after The Open is always special and we look forward to welcoming everyone back for what we expect to be a popular, and great occasion.

Thank you for your understanding and patience, and please stay safe.

Please follow us on Twitter and Facebook for videos, photos,  information and updates on the tournament.

  • “To play for the University of St Andrews Golf Team made that experience even more important to me – the combination of the traditions, the people I’ve met through the matches and the wider network, the extraordinary places we played, and the consistently brilliant competition, are highlights of my life.”
Storm Boswick – MA Honours, 1991
  • “I decided to start supporting the University of St Andrews golf programs about five years ago. I thought I could help make a difference for these programs by financially helping you start a golf donor program. I'm very proud that you have used my funds to create a Saints Golf Website to help you get the word out.”
Van deWar – 600 Club Founding Member
  • “I am proud to support the golf program at the University of St Andrews. The Home of Golf is an iconic place where the history, values and the tradition of the game are intertwined with the culture of the town and the people who reside there.”
Tom Ross – Managing Director of Raymond James & Associates, 600 Club Member
  • “The golf programme they have at St Andrews is a great option for players who want top level academics but do not want to compromise on the quality of the golf programme - it's a special opportunity to be a student athlete in the Home of Golf.”
